The Trends of Nursing Research through Domestic Nursing Academic Journals


Abstract
The study was conducted for the purpose of providing basic data for the development of nursing research. By using 341 pieces of articles loaded on r he Korean Nurse] and `The Journal of Nurses Academic Society] for last 10 years from1¡×83 to 1992, domestic movements of nursing research were analyzed.
The results were as follows:
1. In research field, from 1983 to 1992, it shows 68.6%. of clinical research, 19.1% of public health research, and 12.3% of education research.
2. In research area for last 10 years, nursing practice shows the highest rate 63.6%, nursing administration was 19.4% and nursing education was 17.0%.
3. In research type, it shows 19.1% of experimental research and 80.9% of non-experimental research, while it shows 97.5% of descriptive research and 2.5% of historical research.
4. In research object, 54.1% of experimental research and 29.7% of non-experimental research took patients, 18.0% of experimental research were conducted to clients, while 6.6% of them were conducted to nurses and to nursing students respectively, 21.1% of non-experimental research were conducted to nurses and community health practitioner, while 19.9% of them were to clients.
5. In sampling method, it shows 4.7% of random sampling, 0.6% of systematic sampling, 79.2% of non-probability sampling, the highest rate.
6. In data-collecting method, it shows 65.1% of questionnaire and interview, 11.1% of measurement, and 7.6% of observation.
